A RAILWAY museum is to show youngsters the possible job opportunities open to them through engineering.
Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon is holding an open day dubbed Engineering, Past, Present and Future.
As part of National Science and Engineering Week it aims to show youngsters what careers they could follow with engineering.
A number of companies such as Teesside University, the Royal Navy, Nissan and Siemens will be present to offer advice.
The Locomotion team which restored the steam engine Dominion of Canada will be there too. The A4 class engine, plus its sister Dwight D Eisenhower, will be on show.
The event is open to youngsters in school year nine or ten. It runs between 10am and 2pm on Thursday, March 20.
