SUNDERLAND’S cup final stars will look the part for Sunday’s Wembley showdown, after the club signed a deal with a fashion firm.
The club has reached an agreement with Cruise, which will be its official suit provider for the Capital One Cup final and through next season.
It means the Black Cats stars will be wearing Hugo Boss suits on Sunday.
Sunderland AFC commercial director Gary Hutchinson said: “We are delighted to welcome Cruise to the Sunderland family.
“The Hugo Boss suits provided by Cruise are of an exceptional standard, are highly on trend – with this season’s latest cut – and will give players and staff a unified and sophisticated appearance.”
Suits have occasionally been a stumbling block for cup final teams, most famously Liverpool’s “Spice Boys” who arrived for the 1996 FA Cup Final in cream Emporio Armani outfits with outlandish striped ties and white Gucci shoes.
Cruise is owned by Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley.
