WOMEN with a spirit of adventure are invited to take part in the Seaside Starlight Stroll 2014 to raise money for Teesside Hospice.
The seven-mile sponsored walk along Redcar promenade to Marske and back, which this year has a pirate theme, takes place on Saturday, June 28.
Now in its seventh year, the starlight stroll has become the region’s largest, late-night, ladies only sponsored walk and has seen more than £450,000 donated to the hospice based in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough.
Jane O’Byrne, fundraising manager at Teesside Hospice, said: “We are so excited about this year’s Seaside Starlight Stroll, a pirate takeover is certainly a twist and Redcar is the perfect setting for it.
"I hope all our past participants return for what is set to be the grandest stroll yet and we hope that many more ladies will come along and experience this phenomenal evening.”
Entry costs £10 until April 28 and £15 thereafter for the event, which starts at 10pm.
