Museum to host engineers for Women's Day
WOMEN’S DAY: Durham Women Rising will mark Women’s Day at Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon. Julie Ward’s story Divine Installation about female scientists will be read and engineers Jean Sharrocks and Dr Samantha Gooneratne will answer questions. The event on Wednesday, March 19, between 1.30pm and 2.30pm is open to those aged 14-years and above. Entry is free but spaces are limited. Schools, colleges and groups should contact the museum on 01388-777999 to book a place.
