HUNDREDS of banners are being created to ensure Wearside is decked out in red and white for the Capital One Cup Final.
Sunderland-based First2Print is producing 200 free banners for supporters to decorate their homes.
They have been created as part of the Red and White City campaign, in aid of The Black Cats' official charity The Foundation of Light, giving those unable to make the trip to Wembley the chance to capture the excitement of Sunday’s eagerly-awaited final.
Martyn Young, managing director at First2Print, said: "We’re big supporters of the Foundation of Light so whilst we’re happy to produce the banners free of charge we hope people will make a donation to the charity when they pick them up."
Lesley Spuhler of the Foundation of Light, said: "Hundreds of schools, businesses and households across Wearside are showing their support for the Red and White City campaign.
"We’re delighted that First2Print are helping more to do the same by producing these amazing banners."
Banners are restricted to one per person and will be available to collect from the company’s offices at the North East Business and Innovation Centre or the main reception at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light from Thursday during office hours.
Donations to the Foundation of Light can be made at www.justgiving.com/safc.
