THE Red Arrows will perform three times at this summer’s Sunderland International Airshow.
The legendary RAF aerobatic display team, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, will appear at the Friday night launch party and the Saturday and Sunday.
The event, in its 26th year, will start on Friday, July 25 at Cliffe Park and feature a host of flying aircraft on the following Saturday and Sunday.
Sunderland City councillor John Kelly, portfolio holder for public health, wellness and culture, said: “From their first appearance here in 1991 they have remained a firm favourite with the crowds and continue to thrill and inspire all that see them."
The free event, which attracts hundreds of thousands of people each year, is funded by Sunderland City Council and put on by events company Sunderland Live.
