THE mayors of London and Paris have sent good luck messages to an amateur theatre company ahead of its production of A Tale of Two Cities.
Boris Johnson and Bertrand Delanoe both sent their best wishes to Durham Musical Theatre Company (DMTC) for its production of the Charles Dickens adaptation, which is set in London and Paris during the French Revolution.
DMTC will present the northern amateur premiere of the Jill Santoriello musical at the Gala Theatre, Durham City, from April 8 to 12, featuring a cast of nearly 70 performers from across the region.
There will be performances at 7.15pm each night, plus a 2.15pm Saturday matinee.
Tickets are £18.50, or £16.50 for concessions, with a £2 discount for the matinee and group discounts available.
To book, visit the Gala Theatre box office, call 03000-266-600 or go online to galadurham.co.uk
