A 20 year-old-man has appeared in court charged with a robbery at a village shop.
Marcus Richardson, from Brompton, near Northallerton, North Yorkshire, was remanded on bail after appearing at Northallerton Magistrates' Court today (Monday, February 24).
He faces a charges of robbery at Brompton Stores in April last year, when it is alleged he threatened a shop assistant, and a charge of possessing an offensive weapon, an axe.
The case was adjourned for two weeks for committal proceedings to Teesside Crown Court on March 10.
Mr Richardson was remanded to a bail hostel.
