CAR parks in the vicinity of the Stadium of Light will be closed this weekend as a fleet of London-bound coaches leaves from the ground ferrying Sunderland fans to Wembley.
The only vehicle access onto the complex over the weekend will be for customers attending functions at the stadium or swimmers visiting the neighbouring Aquatic Centre.
Stadium car parks will close of Friday evening, re-opening to the general public on Monday morning.
Supporters who need to park in the vicinity of the stadium are asked to have consideration for residents in surrounding streets and use designated parking areas only.
Many buses taking Sunderland fans to Wembley for Sunday's Capital One Cup Final against Manchester City will depart from the stadium car parks throughout Saturday and early on Sunday.
