FANS planning a pre-match tipple ahead of Sunday’s Capital One Cup final are advised ‘last orders’ will be called in pubs around Wembley an hour before the 2pm kick-off.

A controlled drinking zone will be in place in the vicinity of the stadium, with all pubs in the vicinity ordered to stop serving at 1pm.

Those licensed premises will not be allowed to show the match on tv and supporters without tickets are advised against travelling to the Wembley area.

Designated drinking areas have been drawn up ahead of the game to ensure fans of Sunderland and Manchester City remain segregated in licensed premises, at least, in the Wembley area prior to the match.

As the bulk of the Black Cats’ fans will be housed in the eastern end of the stadium, they have been allocated 11 designated pubs largely to the east side of Wembley.

Ten pubs on a more westerly side have been earmarked for City supporters.

The Sunderland designated premises are: The Torch and Crock of Gold, both on Bridge Road; Moore Spice and Alisan Bar, both on Wembley Retail Park; Watkin’s Folly and Blue Check Cafe, both on Empire Way; The Parish, on Wembley Park Drive; Crystal Club (Silverspoon), on South Way; Cheers Bar, on Blackbird Hill; and, First Class Sports Bar and The Wembley Tavern, both on Wembley Park Drive.
