SHOPPERS at a Bishop Auckland supermarket donated £175 to a campaign to get a critically ill toddler a dream trip to Disneyland.
Hartlepool-based charity Miles for Men set up a stall at Asda in Bishop Auckland to raise funds for Mason Campion.
Mason, three, from Hunwick, has an aggressive form of cancer and funds are being raised to take him to Disneyland.
Shoppers donated £175 towards the fund and Jane Sickling from Miles for Men thanked all those who took part.
She said: “It was a good day with a great amount raised for little Mason.”
Miles for Men formed in 2012 to raise money for cancer research, but the charity also aims to help individuals like Mason.
Friends and family of Mason are raising the funds for the trip, but suffered a setback after a charity box containing £200 was stolen from a shop in Evenwood.
