WEEKLY park runs are being held at a visitor attraction near Burnopfield.
The National Trust is giving novice and experienced runners the chance to take part the 5k challenge around the Georgian gardens at Gibside.
They are being held on Saturdays from 9am.
Samantha Morgan, sports development officer at Gibside, said: “National Trust places are lovely locations for running.
“At Gibside we have miles of footpath through the woods and along the river.
“We’re pleased to have joined up with Park Run and Gateshead Council’s public health team to organise this free weekly event which everyone can get involved in.
“You don’t have to be an experienced runner, just turn up and join others at your own pace on this sociable 5k challenge.”
