ARTIST Sarah Goudie has visited Durham Cathedral to showcase her work.
She was in the shop on Saturday painting and talking to customers as well as launching Ribbons and Pearls, a new range of wedding cards and a set of four recipe books.
Ms Goudie, who is originally from Reading and has been designing and making greeting cards for over fifteen years, said: “Many of my designs have been the result of special requests from customers.
"I try to make my designs as simple as possible and like to add a touch of humour when I can."
The cathedral shop is in the Western Undercroft, near the Cloister.
Vanessa Ward, business support manager at Durham Cathedral, said: “We were delighted to welcome Sarah to the cathedral shop.
“We already sell a range of greeting cards produced by Sarah, which have proved to be extremely popular with our customers.
“We are very keen to build up partnerships with local artists and crafts people.”
