POLICE are appealing for help after a Red Rascal mobility scooter was stolen from Lenin Terrace in Stanley on January 29.

It is red in colour with a black basket and has a metal bar across the back to place crutches in. The scooter had a puncture and a bag on the back of the chair with D Mobility Services on the front column. Anybody with information that can help is asked to contact PC Joanne Metcalf on 101 quoting incident number DHM-29012014-0500.

BRASS BAND: Lanchester Brass Band is holding a ‘Northumbrian Evening’ at Lanchester Community Centre on Saturday, March 22, starting at 7pm. It involves an evening of traditional North-East music with audience singing participation. GET FIT: An over-50s exercise class is taking place at the Lanchester Community Centre’s fitness suite. The hour-long sessions run every Thursday from 8.45am. No need to book.

TABLE TENNIS: Lanchester Community Centre runs table tennis sessions between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesdays. Two Championship Table Tennis Tables are available as well as coaching from the English Table Tennis Association. Admission is £1 for under-16s and £2 for over-16s.
