Northumbria Police are investigating
A woman was tied up during a robbery at a North-East post office.
Police were called to Gosforth High Street in Newcastle when the alarm was triggered just before 9am this morning. (Friday, February 21) The woman was left shaken and with minor injuries.
A robbery had taken place but police have not said what was taken.
Anyone who noticed any suspicious people or vehicles in the area is asked to contact the Northumbria force on 101.
