A CRIMINAL investigation into the death of a man killed in a car crash is still ongoing, a coroner’s court heard today (Friday February 21).
James Thomas Reddington, from Darlington, died in December when the 4x4 he was travelling in collided with a bus in Darlington.
The 19-year-old was a passenger in a silver Isuzu Trooper when it collided with an Arriva bus on the junction of Parkgate and St Cuthbert’s Way on Saturday, December 21.
A 25-year-old man has appeared in court in relation to the incident and has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, burglary, drink-driving, aggravated taking without consent and driving with no insurance.
A review of an inquest into Mr Reddington’s death was held at Crook Coroner’s Court today.
Coroner Andrew Tweddle adjourned matters until May to allow for criminal proceedings to be completed.
