ENQUIRIES are still being made about the death of a North-East schoolgirl, a hearing was told today.

Danielle Formosa, 14, of Nawton Avenue, Sunderland, was found dead at a children’s home in December.

An investigation was launched after Miss Formosa died at the privately-run East Farmhouse Children’s Home in Consett on Tuesday, December 17.

At the time a Durham Constabulary spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

An inquest was opened shortly after her death and a review held today (Friday, February 21) at the coroners' offices in Crook heard that enquiries are still ongoing.
