LIFE in the trenches of the First World War has been dramatically brought to life to give people first-hand experience of the misery troops faced.

The Time Bandits, a group providing historical interpretation and living history and drama, will travel with the trench, exhibiting artefacts and bringing to life the stories of those who served in the Great War.

Designed and conceived by military historian John Sadler and Cleveland College of Art and Design artistic director, Mike Myers, the trench is part of a series of events, exhibitions and activities called Remembering Our War.

Members of the public can view the trench and meet the Time Bandits in Darlington at the Dolphin Centre between 4.45pm and 6.45pm on Saturday (February 22) and in Hartlepool at the Grayfields Sports Pavilion between 6pm and 8pm on Saturday, March 8.
