DANNY HUFFOR expects Durham Wildcats to bounce back from last weekend’s home defeat to Sheffield Sharks.
Wildcats are back in home court action this weekend against Plymouth University Raiders on Sunday (4pm tip-off), with the post-season play-offs looming on the horizon.
But Huffor has warned that Wildcats need to restore some intensity into their performances.
“We lacked effort against Sheffield in our last game and I think as a team, we will bring more sense of an urgency this time,” said Huffor.
“It should be a good game, since it's a tight race for the sixth to eighth play-off spots and I am sure Jay Marriott will have his team ready for us."
Marriott, Plymouth playcaller, believes the Durham game is a huge one going into the post-season.
"Durham will be another must win for us, since we want to have the head to head with them,” he said. "You really have to think ahead in these circumstances."
The similarities in terms of form between the cubs are quite striking, with each liable to either shoot the lights out and win any game - or fail to turn up completely.
"Both teams have rightly been described as inconsistent," agreed Marriott. "But, we both have talented rosters and when it clicks on any given night, we look very good.
"It will be very much about who brings it on the night and manages a successful execution of game plans and has greater focus."
