STOCKTON sprinter Richard Kilty and York 400m star Richard Buck have both been named in the Great Britain squad for next month's World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland.
Kilty will compete in the 60m along with Dwain Chambers after impressing in the British Championships at Sheffield.
James Dasaolu would almost certainly have made the squad for the World Championships, which take place between March 7-9, after a strong start to the indoor season, but a thigh injury sustained in last weekend's Sainsbury's Indoor Grand Prix in Birmingham has scuppered his chances.
Kilty controversially missed out on selection for the 2012 Olympics, when he felt he merited a place in the 200m, and today's call up is reward for his continued improvement in the last 12 months.
Buck has also made some positive strides since the London Games, when he was an unused member of the 4x400m relay squad.
The City of York runner will compete in the individual 400m along with Nigel Levine, and is part of the 4x400m relay squad that also features Levine, Daniel Awde, Michael Bingham, Jamie Bowie, Luke Lennon-Ford and Conrad Williams.
