A WOMAN accused of stabbing her boyfriend seven times has been remanded into custody.
Michelle Hopper, 28, of Spiro Court, Consett, appeared before Peterlee Magistrates Court today (Monday, February 17) charged with wounding with intent.
A 31-year-old man suffered seven stab wounds during an incident on South View in Castleside, near Consett, at around 7pm on Saturday.
He was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for treatment but police said his condition was not life-threatening.
Officers received two kitchen knives from the scene.
Miss Hopper is due before Durham Crown Court on March 3.
