FARMERS can learn about growing crops for game and wildlife at a free event.
The Campaign for the Farmed Environment (CFE) will hold the meeting at Cross Lanes Organic Farm Shop, near Barnard Castle, on Friday, February 21, 10am to 12.30pm.
Attendees will learn about seed mix selection, establishment techniques and general agronomy, look at game and conservation plots nearby and get advice from industry experts.
Fraser Hugill, regional coordinator for CFE Yorkshire and the North East, said: “There will also be an update on the Birds and Farm Landscapes project, a demonstration of different feeders from Gamekeep LTD, an overview of CFE and how farmers and estate managers can contribute towards it.”
Booking essential, email yorkshirenortheast@cfeonline.org.uk or call Amanda Cornforth on 07432-562198.
