A CAR driver who could have suffered injuries following a collision with a bus is being urged to come forward.
Police are appealing to the man behind the wheel of a blue Ford Fiesta ST to make contact following the incident in Oxford Road, Hartlepool, at about 8.40pm on Saturday night.
The vehicle collided with a Stagecoach bus and a parked car but the driver left the scene before the emergency services arrived.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: “There were no reported injuries but officers know that the Fiesta was very badly damaged during the collision.
“Police are also appealing for any witnesses who did not speak to a police officer at the scene last night to come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Dave Allen or PC Mark Pearson of the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on 101, quoting event CVP-14-025470.
