A TEENAGER has admitted stealing from more than 60 cars in the Newton Aycliffe area.
The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court this morning (February 14).
He admitted burglary of a garage in Bishop Auckland between October 6 and 30 last year and stealing from a car in Newton Aycliffe on February 7.
Prosecutor Andrea Milsom said the teenager, from Newton Aycliffe, also asked for 60 other thefts from cars to be taken into account as he wants to wipe the slate clean.
Magistrates adjourned his case to the youth court sitting at Newton Aycliffe on Monday, February 24.
He was given bail on condition he abide by a curfew from 7pm to 7am.
