VISITOR attractions are to offer free tours next month to mark English Tourism Week.
Several attractions in Durham will be staging free events over the weekend of March 29-30 as part of events to promote tourism in the city.
On Saturday, March 29 there will be free guided walks around the city’s World Heritage Site, taking place at 11.30am and 1.30pm.
Places are limited and must be pre booked on 0191-334-3805.
There will also be free entry to the Oriental Museum between noon and 5pm, with talks on the museums Korean collection at 2.30pm and Japanese collection at 3.30pm.
On Sunday, March 30 there will be free tours of Durham Castle taking place between 10am and 4pm. Again, places are limited and must be booked on 0191-334-2932.
There will also be free entry to the Botanic Garden, which will be open from 10am to 5pm and free entry to the Robots exhibition at Palace Green Library.
