A ROLLER derby team is appealing for new members.

Durham City Rolling Angels are looking for more skaters interested in trying out the sport.

Player Leslie Ann Spence said: “I really enjoy it and it keeps you pretty fit.

“You do have to have confidence on skates and that improves as your training gets better.”

The team meets twice weekly at the Sir Bobby Robson sports centre, in Ushaw Moor, near Durham, and is sponsored by the Durham-based Angel pubs group.
