CHILDREN are preparing for a robot battle.
Youngsters at Browney Primary School, in Browney, near Durham, have been designing machines to fight against those from other schools in Robots Live, a spin-off of hit TV show Robot Wars.
Durham University experts turned their drawings into working machines and today (Wednesday, February 12) the pupils applied the finishing touches ahead of sending them into battle on Palace Green, Durham, on Friday, February 21.
Headteacher Ros Parker said: “We’re very fortunate to be working in partnership with the learning team at Durham University.
“The children have greatly benefitted from the opportunity.
“They’re really looking forward to the battle. They’re absolutely buzzing.”
