AN inquest will open later this week into the death of a man found hanged next to a popular walkway.
The body of Mariusz Kurzyp was found by a member of the public on Sunday morning just off the former Lanchester Valley Railway Line walkway, close to the Lidgetts Lane car park, near Consett.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the 23-year-old, who lived at The Chequers, in nearby Templetown.
An inquest into the death of Mr Kurzyp will be opened at the Coroners office in Crook on Friday.
