POLICE have appealed for information after a hit-and-run smash.
The incident took place on the flyover of the A1(M) at junction 61, near Bowburn, County Durham, at about 1.10pm on Sunday (February 9).
A black Clio Campus Sport DCI hit a Peugeot 206 and the Clio driver then fled on foot, leaving his car behind.
He was arrested later and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
No injuries were reported.
PC Mick Fisher, from Durham Police’s road policing unit, said: “I would like to appeal for any witnesses who were in the area and who stopped to assist the driver of the Peugeot to get in touch with Durham Police.”
