HISTORY buffs will be digging into the past at an annual event taking place next month.
The 10th County Durham Archaeology Day takes place on March 8 in County Hall, Durham City.
There will be talks on the Roman fort at Greta Bridge, near Barnard Castle, the Iron Age site at Chilton, near Ferryhill, and Anglo-Saxon Seaham, as well as books, displays and further information.
Tickets for the event are priced £14, or £12 for students, available from archaeology@durham.gov.uk or 03000 267013.
