COUNTY Durham was shown in its best possible light in Parliament last week (Tuesday, February 4).
Business Durham, the business arm of Durham County Council, staged a reception at the House of Commons to showcase the county’s connections with light.
Guests heard about Durham City’s Lumiere light festival, Sedgefield Netpark’s PolyPhotonix, Spennymoor’s Thorn Lighting and more.
Councillor Neil Foster, the council’s cabinet member for economic regeneration, said: “It was a hugely successful event with lots of positive feedback on County Durham being the place for business.”
