A SWIMMING pool is appealing for Richmond residents to register for a charity fun run taking place from the venue for the second year.
Richmond Swimming Pool will host a Sport Relief Mile on Sunday, March 23 at 10am, and participants will be able to choose between running or walking one, three or six miles around the disused railway line.
Sport and recreation manager Matt Prosser said: “This is the second time the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile has come to Richmond so let’s don the headband, get training and show the rest of the country what we can do.
“There will be plenty of activities on the day so don’t forget to rope in your mates, family, boyfriend, girlfriend and colleagues too.
“ In 2012 we had more than 300 participants, and this year we want even more of you to get involved.”
The money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help people living tough lives, both in the UK and across the world.
