A MUSEUM is offering half term story-telling fun for all the family.
The Dales Countryside Museum, in Hawes, will be visited by a witch, the Green Woman and a Tudor story-teller, all performed by Irene Lofthouse, who will bring a mix of stories and creative activities for children.
On Wednesday, February 19, Mari Monipeni - who says she is over 500 years old - brings tales of her French origins, travels, family crest and will help families to create their own colourful Coat of Arms to take home. The event costs £5 per child aged five to 11.
A very different character appears on Thursday, February 20, in the form of the Green Woman with stories of magical Green men and women from times past. Children can create a funky foam mosaic to protect their garden and green places. Entry is £5 per child aged four to 14.
Finally, wander with Wanda on a story-walk around the museum's grounds on Friday, February 21, as she relates tales of a headless horseman, grinning gargoyles and other spine-tingling tales. Entry is £3.50 per child aged eight to 12.
Wednesday and Thursday’s workshops are 90 minutes and run throughout the day.
Friday's story-walk is one hour and suitable clothing should be worn.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking and payment in advance, limited numbers per workshop.
To book contact the museum on 01969-666210.
