SUNDERLAND'S Foundation of Light has announced details of its annual Lambton 10k run and 3k fun run, which will take place on Sunday, June 29.
The 10k run, which usually attracts around 700 entrants, is designed for both competitive and non-competitive runners, while the 3k run, which generally attracts around 300 entrants, offers a course for families and young children.
Both courses run through the grounds of the Lambton Estate, and Jemma Garrett, events coordinator at the Foundation of Light, said: “The Lambton 10k and 3k event is one of the most unique on the running calendar, and certainly offers one of the best backdrops.”
Entries are now open, and are charged from £12 per person for the 10k and from £6 per person for the 3k. Proceeds help fund the Foundation of Light's wide range of sport and education-based programmes, which benefit more than 42,000 young people and families across the North-East each year.
