STUDENTS will stage a production of Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute next week (February 12-16).
The Durham Opera Ensemble adaptation is set in 1940s London and will be staged in Durham Castle’s Great Hall from February 12 to 16.
Charlotte La Thrope and Milly Harris will share the role of Pamina and Ella Phillips and Bridget Tomlinson will play Queen of the Night.
The cast numbers more than 50 Durham University students and there will be accompaniment from a full orchestra.
Performances are at 8pm each night. The final performance will be a black tie occasion.
Tickets are priced £10 for adults, £6.50 for students and £5.50 for members of Durham Student Theatre, Durham University Music Society and University College.
