Last year's Great North Run
THE entry ballot for this year’s Great North Run has closed today (Wednesday, February 5).
The world’s biggest half-marathon, from Newcastle to South Shields, South Tyneside, will take place on Sunday, September 7.
One runner will become the millionth person to complete the famous event.
The entry ballot closed at noon and applicants will be informed if they have been successful by Wednesday, February 12.
There are still plenty of places up for grabs to run for numerous good causes.
