A SPECIAL train service is being run by Northern Rail to ensure that people can view the historic line-up of locomotives for Mallard’s anniversary.
Northern Rail is operating an enhanced service between Darlington and Bishop Auckland during The Last Goodbye display.
Trains will stop at North Road, in Darlington, Heighington, Newton Aycliffe, Shildon and Bishop Auckland between Monday, February 17 and Friday, February 21.
They leave Darlington at 9.53am, 11.54am, 1.54pm and 4.27pm and they return from Bishop Auckland at 10.25am, 12.25pm, 2.25pm and 5.25pm.
A single from Darlington to Shildon is £3.30 and a single from Bishop Auckland to Shildon is £2.20.
Northern Rail is also operating its normal services including one engine named after the famous railway engineer Timothy Hackworth.
