COMEDIAN Jimmy Tarbuck has been rebailed over an allegation of child sex abuse.
The veteran entertainer and quiz show host was arrested last April after information was passed to North Yorkshire Police by Metropolitan Police officers working on Operation Yewtree.
Operation Yewtree was set up following the death of Jimmy Savile in 2011, when hundreds of sex abuse allegations came to light about the former DJ.
A police spokesman said Mr Tarbuck, a schoolmate of John Lennon, attended Harrogate police station.
The force would not state whether the 73-year-old was questioned again over an alleged assault on a young boy in the town in the late 1970s.
It has previously stressed that Mr Tarbuck's arrest was "not part of Yewtree, but a separate investigation" by its own officers.
