A PUPPY that has already had five different owners in his short life is looking for a permanent home.

Oscar, an 11-month-old black Labrador, has broken the record at Darlington Dog’s Trust rehoming centre for having had the most homes in the shortest time.

After being passed between various owners, Oscar has now found himself under the care of the Dog’s Trust and staff are determined find him a forever home.

Sue Embleton, rehoming centre manager, said: “It’s not unusual for a dog to come to us having been in a number of homes, but Oscar definitely has the record for the most moves in such a short time.

“He is a great pup but has just not found the right owner.

“Being an energetic boy who does everything at 100mph Oscar needs plenty of exercise and would enjoy an activity to focus on such as agility.

“Sadly Oscar has received little training in his short life but staff at the centre have been teaching him the basics and, although he still has a lot to learn, he is a willing pupil.”

Oscar needs a home where he will be provided with lots of physical and mental stimulation in order to keep him happy and out of mischief.

Dogs Trust is looking for experienced dog owners to adopt Oscar who can continue his development.

He can live with another well-trained dog and children over the age of sixteen.

Anybody interested in taking Oscar on should contact the Darlington rehoming centre on 01325 333114 or visit it at Hill House Farm, Sadberge, during the opening hours of noon to 4pm everyday except Tuesday.
