WEARING RED: The King William pub in Barton, between Richmond and Darlington, is holding a Ramp Up the Red fundraising event for the British Heart Foundation on Friday, February 7 at 7.30pm.
There will be quizzes, various stalls, bingo and raffle, and everyone is encouraged to wear red.
The event is run by Steve and Valerie Baker and their son Matthew who run the pub, and were inspired to hold it after Mrs Baker had a heart valve replaced 29 years ago, although they have fundraised for various charities over the years.
They hope to beat their last total of £552 for a cancer charity.
