A HIT-and-run driver who knocked a woman over as she was walking with two young children is being sought by police.
The woman was knocked to the ground by a dark 4x4 vehicle as she and the children crossed Dean Road in Scarborough, close to the Tesco Express store.
The woman, in her 20s and from Scarborough, suffered bruising to her leg and to the side of her body. The children were uninjured.
The incident happened at 6.05pm last Thursday, January 30, and the 4x4 left the scene without stopping.
Police are appealing for any witnesses and are asking for the driver of the vehicle to contact them.
