IN an article on NHS pay we stated that the chief executive of a North-East hospital trust enjoyed a 15 per increase between 2010 and 2013.
This information about Mr Jim Mackey’s remuneration at the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was based on a press release from the Royal College of Nursing.
We have been asked by the Northumbria Trust to clarify that Mr Mackey enjoyed a nine per cent salary increase between 2010 and 2013, excluding contributions towards his pension.
