TWO services allowing Wear Valley residents to apply for planning permission and licenses online have been launched.
The planning application service is part of a national portal to guide people through the process.
It can also save money, with an average of £100 per application saved by submitting it online.
To apply online, the address is www.planningportal. gov.uk. After registering, click on planning permission, then make an application.
Meanwhile, the Wear Valley District Council online licensing system provides guidance on The Licensing Act 2003.
Application forms are available to download from the council's website at www. wearvalley.gov.uk
