THEATRE staff having been experiencing bumper sales of tickets at their pantomime.
The Empire Theatre, in Consett, has been staging Cinderella - and tickets are still available for the last performances.
The show features Sixties pop stars Mike Sarne and Billie Davies, together with Keynotes presenter Alistair Divall and a Shetland pony.
Jane Flanagan stars as Cinderella and the Ugly Sisters are played by Peter Brad-Leigh and Darren Batten.
The cast are supported by dancers from the Pauline Cook and Hazel Rayson schools of dance.
Derwentside District Council acting theatre and arts manager Sue Fox said: "It is the last year in our three-year contract with Stage Further Productions, and it has been the best year in terms of ticket sales.
"There are still tickets available for shows after Christmas, which resume on Wednesday."
