A 14-YEAR-OLD girl has died in a children's home in County Durham.
An inquest into the death of Danielle Formosa, from Sunderland, will be opened at the coroner’s office in Crook tomorrow.
She died at East Farmhouse Children’s Home in Consett on December 17.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: “Police attended an address in Consett at around 9.50am on Tuesday 17th December in response to reports of the sudden death of a 14-year-old girl.
“A post mortem examination has taken place and there appears to be no suspicious circumstances. The coroner has been informed and an inquest will open tomorrow.”
It is believed that Danielle was a friend of Sarah Clerkson, also from Sunderland, who was found hanged after a house party in Spennymoor earlier this month.
