COUNTRYSIDE wardens have organised post-New Year guided walks.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's rangers will lead a five-mile circular walk into the countryside near Guisborough, from Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park on Wednesday, January 10.
The route goes to Roseberry Topping, via Pinchinthorpe and Bousdale Wood. Meet at the country park visitor centre for a 10am start.
The annual eight-mile Warsett Hill Circular is on Wednesday, January 17. Meet at Saltburn Valley Woodland Centre at 10am.
On Monday, January 22, there is a four-mile walk exploring Errington Wood, looking at human activities through the ages. Meet at Errington Wood picnic area at 10am.
A three-and-a-half mile stroll goes along the old railway line towards Nunthorpe, returning via Low Farm, on January 24. Meet at Guisborough Forest and Walkway visitor centre at 1pm.
A partly-urban six-mile walk, following two variations of the Teesdale Way, with a stop at Tees viewing mound, one of the few public access points, to look at the river, is on January 30. Meet at the Asda car park, South Bank, at 10am.
