THE trial of two teenagers, aged 17 and 15, accused of assault and carrying weapons was adjourned yesterday.
The boys, who both live in Crook and cannot be named for legal reasons, are accused of assaulting a man in the town on Sunday, June 11.
The 17-year-old is also charged with possessing half a snooker cue, which is being treated as an offensive weapon, and the 15-year-old is charged with possessing a kitchen knife and criminal damage.
A two-day trial had been expected to start at Newton Aycliffe Youth Court yesterday but magistrates adjourned the case until January 27, when a pre-trial review will be held.
