ELDERLY people at a Shildon care home have been enjoying a musical Christmas thanks to three local youth groups.
Holly Lodge Care Home, in Maddison Street, hosted a carol service by members of the town's Rainbows and Beavers groups earlier this month.
Youngsters also chatted with residents and shared tales of their group's activities.
The home's 40 residents were treated to a second carol service last week by Timothy Hackworth Primary School choir.
Karen Hunter, manager of Holly Lodge Care Home, said: "We try, whenever possible, to invite local groups, performers and individuals into the home and allow our residents to experience a range of activities that fulfil all their social, education and recreational needs.
"I would like to thank the Beavers, Rainbows and the Timothy Hackworth Primary School choir for taking the time to visit our residents."
