MIDDLESBROUGH Council's community protection food and safety team hit the town's bars last night, armed with an array of measuring devices, aiming to make sure drinkers were getting what they paid for.
Checks were being made on spirits including vodka, rum, gin and whisky. Customers suspecting they are not being sold the genuine article should contact the team for advice on 01642-728294.
