ILLEGAL off-roaders risk having their motorbikes and vehicles confiscated as a crackdown continues.
Police and Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority rangers have warned they will continue patrols over Christmas and the new year.
Two motorcyclists have been already been taken to court and another cautioned.
A motorbiker stopped near Hawes, in upper Wensleydale, had no insurance and his machine was seized. Four others were issued with fixed penalties for vehicle defects.
As well as checking on the illegal use of motorcycles and 4x4 vehicles on footpaths and bridleways, police will also act when vehicles are not road legal
